Ironman Football Academy

The Ironman Football Staff is comprised of some of the most successful coaches in North Jersey. They are known for their ability to instruct young players in the fundamentals of football. Ironman Academy is a teaching camp. Coaches are with players at all practices and meetings. Staff includes top college players from North Jersey.

Ironman Football Academy is located at Don Bosco Prep High School in Ramsey, New Jersey. The camp will provide playing fields, practice and skill areas, footballs, and locker rooms. No equipment will be needed as drill work will be non-contact (mouthpieces are required). Players are asked to wear sneakers and bring cleats. Players should bring lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

Players will be divided into two groups according to the level on which they will participate this coming season:
     JUNIORS – those eligible for their town or recreation teams in Junior Football Leagues – will use official Junior League football.
     SENIORS – those eligible for their high school teams: Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity – will use official high school football.

KICKING
Place kicking, punting, and kickoff techniques.

QUARTERBACKS
Leadership, play calling, ball handling, passing techniques, and skill drills.

BACKS
Running, blocking, faking, ball carrying, pass receiving and skill drills.

INTERIOR OFFENSIVE LINEMEN
Stance, blocking, pulling, trapping, pass protection and skill drills.

CENTERS
Centering, blocking, pass protection, long snaps and skill drills.

RECEIVERS
Release, maneuvering, catching, blocking, running and skill drills.

DEFENSIVE LINE
Stance, charges, pursuit, pass rush, key reaction and skill drills.

LINEBACKERS
Stance, key reaction, pursuit, pass coverage and skill drills.

SECONDARY
Stance, alignment, key reaction (run-pass support), man to man and zone coverage, skill drills.
